Employment Services

For refugees, employment is a vital step toward achieving self-sufficiency. They are eager to build a strong foundation for themselves and their families.

Refugees are legally allowed to work immediately upon arrival in the U.S. Catholic Charities’
staff and volunteers work with each individual to assess their existing skills; assist with resumes, job applications and job interviews; provide employment readiness training; and help manage expectations.

Catholic Charities has developed robust relationships with local employers, matching their needs with the refugee’s job skills. If you are an employer who would like to learn more about hiring refugees, please fill out the form here.
