Volunteer With Us

“We all have the duty to do good.”

Thank you for your interest in exploring opportunities to volunteer with Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio. Volunteers are essential to our day to day operation and the fulfillment of our mission.

Catholic Charities offers diverse opportunities for you to make an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of those in need. By working with Catholic Charities, families grow closer, teens earn service hours, and individuals and seniors use their gifts to answer the call to service. Our goal is to move local families from crisis to stability and from vulnerability to self-sufficiency.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities— short-term, long-term, special projects, and everything in between. If you have any further questions, or need more clarification, please do not hesitate to contact Volunteer Coordinator at (513) 672-3836 or tgreen@ccswoh.org.

How to Apply to Become a Catholic Charities Volunteer

Please note: All volunteers 18 years and older must consent to a Criminal Background Check. Those whose primary role is to work with children, and other roles deemed sensitive, are required to complete SafeParish (and quarterly online training) and a Background Check. Catholic Charities will incur the costs for these services.

Apply

Create a VolunteerHub account here. The questions serve as an online application, which allows you to express your interests and availability, and it allows you to access a more complete calendar and list of opportunities. You will use this account to sign-up for events.

Explore

The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss open opportunities and to explore your interests and availability in more detail. Always feel free to contact the Volunteer Coordinator directly with questions or for more information.

Align

Once you align with the Volunteer Coordinator on an activity that is a good fit for your interest and availability, you will be referred to contact the staff coordinator of the activity to receive more detailed information about what is involved.

Onboard

If a match is determined by both parties, the Volunteer Coordinator will walk you through the onboarding process to obtain requirements which may include registering for SafeParish™ training and/or obtaining a background check and registering for a Volunteer Orientation session.

Once all steps are completed, you can begin volunteering at Catholic Charities and Su Casa.

Thank you for your commitment to Serve, Engage, and Empower our neighbors in need.
