POSITION TITLE: Gift Entry Specialist

Position Summary
This position is responsible for accurate data entry in the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT (RE NXT) Donor Database and completing basic donor relations activities. The candidate for this position will have experience with and be comfortable using databases for a wide variety of tasks, understanding the nature and structure of charitable gifts received. Duties include gift entry and other database functions. Team collaboration and provide support in advancing the fundraising and marketing efforts of the agency.
Essential Job Functions:
- Processes donation information into the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database in accordance to standard operating procedures.
- Assists with donor communications.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of gift processing standard operating procedures.
- Processes address changes and returned receipts and coordinates necessary updates with other departments as appropriate.
- Export data from and import data into RE NXT, such as guest information from events and the online giving platform.
- Scan gift documentation and maintain orderly files.
- Collaborate with Mission Advancement and Marketing colleagues to support the planning and hosting of occasional special events.
- Consistently cross-train with Development Coordinator on advanced database functions to assist as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred (constituents, memorials/tributes, gift entry, queries, and mailing lists)
- Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
- Proficient using Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team
- Fundraising experience in a non-profit setting a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and use good judgment in prioritizing

Work Environment:
Typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.
